Medical Appointments

Community Wheels also provide transport to medical appointments at hospitals, medical centres and general practitioners. Normally we would ask you how long the visit may take and when you will be ready to return. If unsure, contact the office when you are finished with the appointment.

When you make a booking, try to give us at least 1 weeks’ notice. Once you know the date and time for transport, contact the office and we will make a booking.

It’s also important that you advise us immediately if you no longer require the booking.

We also provide door to door services, so you may wait safely inside your home until the bus arrives.

If you feel that you need a wheelchair or assistance getting on and off the vehicle, please let the office staff know when you make a booking.

A fee applies when this service is used; ask our staff for costs when making a booking.
